Sorry I didn't post yesterday...exhaustion won me over and I fell asleep. Zoey woke up from being sedated and was furious she had a tube down her throat. She was very fussy, and when she got too mad they would sedate her again. The tube goes down her vocal cords, so she would cry but no sound would come out. It was very sad. Fortunately, she started doing well enough breathing on her own that they decided to take it out. When they took off the tape that was holding the tube in place, Zoey turned her head really fast the opposite direction and the tube came right out. She hated that thing, and it is funny that she was smart enough to figure out how to get it out. She did much better after they took out the tube. She had lots of visitors yesterday; Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs, Great Grandma Jacobs, Great Grandma and Grandpa Willard, Grandma and Grandpa Spencer. I didn't do a good job taking pictures though, so I only have this one of her with Great Grandma Jacobs and the other picture is of her crying when no sound was coming out.

I'm glad to hear that you slept! That's nice that Grandma made it down there to see her. Hope things are going well for you today!
I think it's so cute that the nurses keep putting cute little bows on Zoey's head. It just makes me smile to see her being all girly through all of this! A girl has got to have her priorities straight, right? :)
What a sweet girl. I feel so bad for her. I love her little bow.
We are so glad that you were able to rest! What an amazing week for you guys! We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers, especially on Tuesday!!! Love, Brett and Rachel
